Phoenix took part in this year’s Michael Patrick Challenge weekend for Explorer Scouts. This year’s event was held at Bentley Copse – the County campsite near Shere in the Surrey Hills. The fun started with Pedal Kart racing – it amazing how competitive you can be sat in a kart. The Scouts then took part in archery and shooting activities before a light lunch. In the afternoon the teams were challenged to lift themselves as far of the ground as possible. Phoenix won the evening cooking challenge with a menu of chicken salad, kebabs and baked apples. The teams went for a short hike through the local woods on the Sunday morning.
Thanks to everyone who made it all possible, especially the DC for judging the Cooking Competition, and the Explorers for making it such a great weekend.
