Where we Scout

So where is New Haw?

We’re a Scout Group in south east England in the UK.

We’re in the county of Surrey which is south west of London. Surrey contains some fantastic countryside despite being so close to the capital.

Our Scouting District is Runnymede in the north west corner of Surrey. It’s famous as the signing place of the Magna Carta and the birthplace of modern democracy.

We Scout in a place called New Haw – its a small village – our HQ is near the meeting point of the Wey Navigation and Basingstoke Canals.

We are one of two Scout Groups in New Haw. We were founded in 1974 and wear a scarlet scarf. The other Group, 1st New Haw was formed in 1932 and wears a blue scarf with a gold border.
