We entered a team of 2 Scouts into this year’s District Cooking Competition which was held at 1st/4th Addlestone Scout HQ. On arrival they were presented with the recipes and ingredients to make a three course meal. After 2 hours of chopping, frying, sieving and boiling their meal was ready for judging – by 2 professional chefs! Menu of the day was Gazpacho, Spanish Chicken and Rice and for desert, pancakes. After what seemed like an eternity the judges returned their verdict and our team were proclaimed winners.
